Tap into the rippling momentum towards Bottled Water Free Day! Whether you are a student, teacher, parent, worker, community advocate or…simply have the conviction that our public water system is a better choice--the time to act is now!

In Your School…
  • Create bottled water free zones with other students and teachers! Find places where everyone will commit to not drink bottled water—a classroom, the hallway, the gym, and even the cafeteria.
  • Do the research and feature it in a class presentation. Does your school have a beverage exclusivity agreement? If so, which company is involved and what’s the contract expiration date?
  • Organize a classroom debate/discussion about water privatization, the right to water, or community concerns about the local watersheds.
  • Pledge to drink water from the tap! Host a tasting event contact us .
  • Take the Back to the Tap pledge .
On Your Campus…
  • Organize a forum and challenge administrators to end campus bottled water consumption.
  • Create bottled water free zones! Promote places on campus where everyone will commit to drinking only public water.
  • Promote campus water fountains! Sticker/Poster/Chalk directions to the nearest water fountain. On vending machines, tape maps of water fountain locations.
  • Distribute stainless steel bottles with stickers about bottled water free zones at campus events.

In Your Community…
  • Put up the Bottled Water Free Day posters at your workplace, church or gathering place.
  • Organize a public forum or photo exposition about access to water, pressures on local watersheds and/or the corporatization of water services. Challenge municipal councillors to pledge to end bottled water consumption on city property. Encourage unionized workplaces, schools and other public institutions to become bottled water free.
  • Host a screening about struggles over water justice-in Canada and abroad. Try some of these film ideas.
