In Thunder Bay, Lake Superior Day is a free, fun family event that takes place at Marina Park on July 15th. Organized by EcoSuperior with funding support from the Ontario Government and sponsors, this year’s festivities take place between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Attendees can enjoy the music of the Kam Valley Fiddlers, the Baytones Quartet and other musical guests, step aboard a search & rescue boat and a tugboat, visit the display tents and have some fun with the Science North Cool Science Caravan. Starting at 5 pm, purchase a Superior Fish dinner for $5 a person which includes a whitefish wrap, potato salad and cake. This year attendees have the chance to win one of three prize packs; a sit-on kayak, a sailing excursion or a fishing package. Immerse yourself in greatness on Lake Superior Day!
