Rain Garden Tour 2018

Join EcoSuperior for a free self-guided tour of five residential, municipal and institutional rain gardens in Thunder Bay to celebrate the community’s commitment to stormwater management. Rain gardens are landscaped depressions that soak up rainwater runoff from the roof of a house or other hard surface, instead of flowing into storm drains that empty into our local streams.

See what Thunder Bay residents and property owners are doing to manage stormwater and naturalize urban spaces. Chat with rain garden hosts about the rain garden rebate program and learn what you can do, too!

Saturday, September 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 pm. Light refreshments will be provided. Online registration is required.

For a list of tour locations, download the visitor information package

Visit all 5 rain gardens, collect a stamp for each location and enter to win one of two $25 gift certificates to Landale Gardens! Download the Rain Garden Tour Passport here.

This program is funded by the City of Thunder Bay’s Infrastructure and Operations Department and delivered by EcoSuperior.
