EcoSuperior Summer Day Camp
Get ready for another exciting Summer!
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!
Do you love the outdoors, getting dirty and playing in the rain? Then join EcoSuperior's team of Summer Program facilitators on a week long adventure at the Central Natural Environment Gardens.
This year children aged 8-12 will be engaged in four different themed weeks filled with environmentally friendly activities, all held in the great outdoors, rain or shine! A tentative schedule of activities has been linked to each themed week and are subject to change.
Camp activities run from 9am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. There is staff supervision on site from 8:30-5:00.
While each week has a unique theme, the summer will have an overarching theme of our connection to water and Lake Superior. All species (including us!) require water to survive and thrive. It is important to focus on ways that we can conserve and protect our water sources and ensure clean, safe water for future generations.
We invite many special guests to join us!
During the summer of 2015, we were fortunate to host special guests and volunteers that helped enhance programming. Thank you to Safe Cycling Thunder Bay, Lakehead Search & Rescue -Hug-a-tree Program, HMCS Griffon, Metis Nation of Ontario Summer Youth Cultural Program, Let's Talk Science, Graham Saunders, Ministry of Natural Resources & Foresty Canine Unit and the Ontaio Provinical Police Canine Unit.
We are excited about the oppotunity to invite new guests to join us at the Central Natural Environment Gardens this coming summer. Do you have a program to share with campers? Do you have a hidden talent, or an interesting idea to help engage youth? Let us know!
