EcoSuperior Summer Day Camp

As summer comes to end, we would like to thank all of our community partners that make EcoSuperior's Summer Day Camp a huge success! Our days are packed full of insect hunting, dip netting in the McIntyre River, science experiments and natural play. We have also been very fortunate to partner with a number of wonder community organizations that visit us at the Central Natural Environment Gardens and share their love of nature, the outdoors and science!

Day Camp Sounds Exciting Right? Think about joining us next summer!
Do your children love the outdoors, getting dirty and discovering the magic of nature? Then let them make the most of summer in a week long adventure with EcoSuperior! We offer Thunder Bay’s leading all-outdoors, nature-based day camp at Central Natural Environment Gardens.
Each week is filled with environmentally friendly activities, exciting adventures and engaging guests - all held in the great outdoors, rain or shine! Every camper also participates in safe cycling training!
July Week 1: Outdoor Explorers (Ages 6-8)
July Week 2: Eco Adventurers (Ages 9-11)
August Week 3: Outdoor Explorers (Ages 6-8)
August Week 4: Eco Adventurers (Ages 9-11)
*Children must be within the designated age group by the first day of camp*
Camp activities run from 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. There is staff supervision on site from 8:15-5:00.

Not only do participants get to hang out in the great outdoors all day, they enjoy many hands-on
activities like, dip-netting in the McIntyre River, cycling, a field trip to Mission Island Marsh Conservation Area, visits from great guest presenters such as Science North, Let's Talk Science, Ministry of Northern Development & Mines, Ontario Nature, Metis Nation of Ontario Youth Group, Thunder Bay BeeKeepers' Association, St John Ambulance and so much more!
Participants also receive a camp T-shirt and a reusable water bottle
Important Information for Parents
Payment must be submitted with registration in order to secure your spot. Once both the registration and payment have been received, you will be sent a confirmation letter along with waiver forms and a camper handbook. If payment is NOT recieved with one week of registration, your registration will be void. You will have to register.
Step 1 - Register your child(ren) with our on-line registration form.
Step 2 - Submit payment for registration by one of the following methods:
- Use the link in the registration confirmation e-mail to submit an on-line credit card payment through EventBrite
- Bring payment to EcoSuperior at 562 Red River Road, Mon - Fri 8:30 - 4:30, cash, cheque, debit or credit
- Call the office at 624-2141 to pay with a credit card by phone.
Our camp is held at Central Natural Environment Gardens. It is located off Central Avenue, between 10th Avenue and Reame Street (behind Thunder Bay Police Services on Balmoral St.). Vehicle access is from 10th Avenue via a small gravel parking lot. Click on image to enlarge.
What is the cost?
The cost of camp is $175 per week. We are offering a sibling discount rate of $150/participant. Your sibling must be attending the same week as you and their name must be indicated on the registration form to qualify.
What should campers bring?
Each camper should be sure to bring a hat, sunscreen and appropriate clothing for ALL weather as well as a lunch. A water refill station will be provided.
Your camper can expect a variety of fun, outdoor, hands-on activities and games based on various themed weeks. Our qualified instructors are busy preparing to lead campers through exciting activities to ignite imaginations and build connections with the natural world.

All staff are certified with Standard First Aid with CPR C + AED and have completed a criminal records check including the vulnerable sector.
