Welcome to the ecoDriver page, a program dedicated to teaching drivers how to drive efficiently, maintain and save and drive less. Vehicles are an integral part of a Thunder Bay resident's day. Whether its used to get to and from work, extra-curricular activities or lugging heavy equipment, your vehicle suits your needs. Because of your needs perhaps you can't make the small fuel efficient car work for you. Never fret though, you can still reduce your fuel use, improve your driving habits, reduce emissions and in the end save your gas money by adopting cleaner driving habits.
Participating in the ecoDriver Program
- Presentations - presentations for your office, business, community group or organization. (Inquire for details and cost).
- Community Activities - A variety of community activities are available under the ecoDriver program. Keep a watch for our ecoDriver Rally, event booths and other activities throughout the year.
- Driver Education and High School: Activities and Presentations - Interested in bringing the ecoDriver program to your education centre? Presentations, displays, activities and more are available.
- Just Interested In Tips? - Check out our downloadable resources or visit our office for hard copies.
- Need A Visual? - Check out our locally filmed TV commercials promoting the program: Red Light! and Pump Me Up!
- Debating Your Communting Cost? - Use our fuel efficiency calculator to figure out your fuel mileage, cost per km and your emissions.
