MAKE A VERMICOMPOSTER
A vermicomposter is an indoor composting system that uses worms to speed up the process. It is simple to create and simple to maintain. With this hands-on presentation/workshop, your class will create their own classroom vermicomposter. An intro presentation will challenge your class to identify the role of producers, consumers and decomposers within the food chain. Your class will have the opportunity to learn about the value of vermicomposting and the respective reduction in waste going to landfill. Not only is a vermicomposter a great way to study an ecosystem, it is also a great way to recycle your organic waste in the classroom. All materials are provided.
