It's an opportunity to share your knowledge and ideas to grow our local environmental efforts and inspire land and water connection.
EcoSuperior is a passionate and mission-driven non-profit organization, offering meaningful environmental programs and services in the City of Thunder Bay and beyond. Since 1995, we have been committed to inspiring and empowering change by offering meaningful programs and services. Our non-profit is supported mostly through program funding, grants, fee-for-service projects, and a small (but growing!) retail operation offering earth-friendly products. We are grateful to be able to continue co-creating meaningful programming and services thanks to our municipal, provincial, and federal governments, plus other funding agencies, corporate sponsors, and donors.
What we look for:
- Human resources, risk management, and governance expertise
- Financial management and accounting background
- Fundraising and resource development experience
Our current priorities include:
- Strengthening our board capacity
- Improving fundraising efforts
- Strategic planning
- Identifying opportunities for development and organization resilience.
What we ask of you:
- 3-year term commitment
- Attend bi-monthly meetings
- Serve on board committees and attend meetings as needed
- Act as ambassadors for EcoSuperior
- Support fundraising efforts and community outreach events
- Share your expertise and knowledge
