Guided Urban Tree Walk at Boulevard Lake
Celebrate National Tree Day with us on a Guided Urban Tree Walk!
Join us for a free guided tree walk through Birch Point Park at Boulevard Lake on Wednesday, September 23rd from 6:30 to 7:30pm.
The walk will be led by guest speaker Dr. L. Hutchinson from Lakehead University, a faculty member in the Natural Resources Department who teaches courses including Urban Forestry and Pathogens and Biology of the Fungi.
We'll highlight some of the park's most notable tree species and common urban tree species, talk about threats to the urban forest like disease and fungi, and share how trees contribute to climate resilience and green infrastructure.
It's free to attend and open to all!
